Prof.dr. Menno Fenger

Menno Fenger (1971) studied public administration and organizational studies at the Catholic University in Nijmegen. From 1996 until 2000 he worked as a Ph.D. student at Twente University. Between 2000 and 2006 he worked as assistant professor at the Department of Public Administration, Erasmus University. In 2006, he was a visiting scholar at the Center for European Studies, Harvard University. From 2006 until 2008 he was a senior policy advisor at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment. In 2008, he returned to Erasmus University as associate professor.

Menno’s research focuses on processes of institutional change in modern welfare states in comparative perspective and on the management and organization of local welfare governance. He is the overall coordinator of the INSPIRES project, an EU-funded project about innovative social policies in Europe.
