Dr. Brenda Vermeeren

Brenda Vermeeren (1982) is an assistant professor at the department of Public Administration and Sociology at Erasmus University Rotterdam, and a project manager at InternetSpiegel (a program of the Ministry of Interior and Kingdom Relations, The Netherlands). Her research interests include the relationship between HRM and performance, the role of line managers in implementing HRM, and the antecedents and effects of dual job-holding.

Brenda Vermeeren studied Personnel and Labor at Rotterdam University (Bachelor’s degree - graduating in 2005) and Public Administration at Erasmus University Rotterdam (Master’s degree - graduating in 2007; cum laude). From 2008 to 2013, Brenda worked as a PhD candidate at the Department of Public Administration at Erasmus University Rotterdam. She defended her dissertation, titled "HRM Implementation and Performance in the Public Sector", in March 2014.
